Cruise to Gandria and return by walking
A 20-minute boat ride is all it takes to get to this small fishing village, clinging to the foot of the mountain, which still retains its medieval charm. Until the end of the 1700s the area was dedicated to the production of olive oil, but then the inhabitants had to devote themselves to the silk industry after the olive groves perished during a very hard winter. Today, a popular destination for artists and low-intensity tourism. Return to Lugano by walking on the “Olive Trail”, which winds gently next to the lake along a rugged and romantic terrain.
