Lake and Mountain Tour

The tour begins with a navigation from North to South of Lake Lugano, until reaching Capolago.
For 125 years, the rack railway has departed from Capolago on Lake Lugano to reach the summit at 1704 m, travelling for 9 km along the picturesque mountain setting of the Monte Generoso natural park and reaching the
“Fiore di pietra”, the new symbolic structure of Monte Generoso, is an impressive work that bears the unmistakable signature of Mario Botta. The world-famous architect is not only responsible for the design of the imposing building, but also for the layout of the interior spaces. “Fiore di pietra” dominates the rocky edge of the mountain and offers a 360-degree view of a breathtaking panorama.
